Artist Statement:
I chose watercolor as my newest media, for its travel-ability, versatility and its glowing transparency of light and color. As I get my high just experiencing life, my art visualizes those expressions that reflect the "character" I see created where ever I travel. Life is full of images that intrigue me. I choose to paint those "characters" that make me feel, think and wonder about OUR time in history. I hope I succeed in conveying to you, images spliced from unexpected instants in my time and in my world. Lately, I've been having too much fun! Especially with color. I invite you into my world!

My latest update was: August 18, 2008

"Color a....Giraffe"
Is the 5th in the series of "Color a...), here I traced one
of my abstracted paintings of a giraffe to make a cartoon then added a photograph of an actual giraffe taken in San Antonio Wildlife Park. This time I started to make the giraffe emerge from the photo, but she doesn't quite get all her freedom.
30x 22 watercolor image.
NFS at this time. |
